Our History

Briggs Products was started by Mike and Jill Briggs in April 1971, Mike  working from his double garage at home, initially selling tools to the engineering trade, expanding 1976 to offer pattern making (engineering woodwork),

May 1979, the business moved to Ebblake Industrial Estate in Verwood,  June 1979, Peter Briggs, started as an apprentice pattern maker, now Managing Director,  eventually taking over day to day running from Mike and Jill. The company has expanded  on the same site from one to four units.

1982 expanded, setting up a foundry supplying aluminium, brass and gunmetal castings.

1987  brought our first copy wood turning lathe seeing a gap in the market, gradually we brought more wood machinery and began to diverse into various aspects of timber machining and stair refurbishments, closing the foundry 1988.

We pride ourselves on offering the best service possible to our customers which includes free advice, estimates,  a measuring service (conditions apply) and fitting our stair components.
